thanks abc!

wow... as if this election couldn't get any weirder! now we have the liberal media bashing the liberal media?! liberal bloggers and writers are criticizing ABC news for how they mediated the Wednesday (April 16) Democratic candidate debate. They say that Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos were too harsh on the candidates and didn't focus on the issues.

It's about time the candidates are forced to be a little bit uncomfortable and answer for the stupid things that they have done throughout this ridiculous campaign. The bloggers are upset because they brought up racist Rev. Wright, terrorist Bill Ayers (Weather Underground and UIC prof...), Bosnian sniper fire, bitter Pennsylvanians, and Obama's refusal to wear an American flag pin or salute the flag. They say these are "trivial matters" ... trivial matters?? These are the only things that we can base our decisions on! Every politician on the planet promises great and wonderful things - how do we know they are actually going to follow through with those ideas? We don't. I think that everyone can agree their track record is not very good. At least with Hillary there is a reasonably significant Senate record to let us know she's capable of making policy. Obama?! A rookie? Who knows...?

So what do we base our judgments on? These are not trivial matters. These are matters of character and character is certainly not trivial.

Of course the Iraq war and economy are important - - but when the character flaws are so deep, we cannot help but pay very close attention to them. Thank you ABC for doing so.
